The 8646 TTR printer meets the needs of customers who require durable labels, flexible formatting and fast output - all in one package. The 8646's specially designed ribbon prints high quality, consistently in-spec labels able to withstand hot temperatures and survive the most hostile environment.
Using Intermec's proven square matrix printing technique, the operator can create and store up to eight unique formats, incorporating bar code, logos, and human readable characters, printed in any of four orientations.
The 8646 prints at two inches per second to produce the major bar code symbologies, including CODE 39 and CODE 49. It is designed for continuous operation with either a computer-generated application program or through a stand-alone CRT. Standard interfaces include the RS-232-C, RS-422, RS-485 (multi-drop for CrossBar products), or a 20mA current loop.
