The Kapton label is made from a polyimide material used for labeling PC boards because of its high temperature, chemical, and smear-resistance. These labels are excellent for PC board marking and tracing, and high-heat applications (up to 480°F). They are available with either a matte or gloss topcoat.
Intermec Duratran Kapton labels are specially designed to be used with thermal transfer printers. This technology uses thermally sensitive ink ribbons to produce durable, high-quality bar codes that are both visible light and infrared scannable.
