The Intermec 6540 Stationary Terminal is a powerful, PC-based system designed for shop floor data collection. Combining a fast 486 processor with up to 32 MB of memory, the 6540 delivers the horsepower you need to keep up with today's data intensive manufacturing systems.
Its compact footprint and rugged case make it ideal for manufacturing applications such as work-in-process, labor collection, and time and attendance. The 6540 tracks the real-time status of critical resources, including work orders, material, equipment and labor, right from your production floor.
Because the 6540 runs on a standard operating system, you can use popular PC development tools to create applications that collect data and transmit it to your host system. The 6540 also supports industry-standard Ethernet, Token Ring, and wireless connectivity, so it can integrate seamlessly with your corporate network.
With the 6540's 2.4 GHz radio option, you have the flexibility to change work cells without the cost of wiring and re-wiring your plant. Multiple barcode ports connect badge scanners, laser scanners, CCDS and wands for error-free data collection.
